1. To encourage participation in cultural activities amongst African communities
2. To promote positive values of cultural identity and citizenship especially amongst
British born black people of mixed heritage.
3. To provide learning opportunities for participants and other users as they engage
with archival material via the Internet, exhibition or the proposed publication.
4. To demonstrate the accessibility of the University and its archives and show
that the facilities are not just for the privileged few.
5. To raise the profile and aspirations amongst African communities.
